We are now just a few weeks away from the spring CASMA event, being held in sunny Jacksonville at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront overlooking the St John’s River. It’s a hectic time as we pull together all the final details and the excitement is building. In our ever-changing industry, there are always a number of great reasons to get together for the CASMA event. Here are some of my thoughts on why CASMA Jacksonville 2012 is a can’t miss event:

    • New rules and new ways of doing business. In January, the Department of Transportation put a host of new rules into effect with a very direct impact on sales, distribution and advertising. We are going to tackle those changes as well as the ongoing updates to managing and maximizing fees, services, social media, mobile technology and more.
    • New points of view. We are kicking off a new session series called “Equal Time.” We will gather on stage those with different takes and philosophies on the market to discuss top issues so we all walk away with a better rounded understanding on the industry. We also have a host of new speakers, including top executives from Hotwire/Travel Ticker, Porter Airlines, Airlines For America and Radixx International, set to weigh in throughout the conference.
    • New destination to explore. As is always the case, we picked another prime location and set aside plenty of time for networking and conversation both on site and off. We will be in an historic part of town with easy access to the warm weather charms of Jacksonville and beyond.
